These people are pathetic. No woman in the history of Islam was an imam. Hazrat Rabiah Basriayah (Rahmatullahi Alayha) had a deep knowledge of Quran and Hadees.Does Amina Wadod have more knwledge than her?, yet in her life she never once suggested being an Imam. Women can become alimas and hold the same respect as men. They can give khutbah, but cannot do Imamat. There is no proof for its justification from the Sunnah. You are right to say they are KAFIR for opposing the Sunnah. May Allah give them the ability to realise this. Ameen
